Affiliate Disclosure Compliance
In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission implemented new guidelines for Disclosure Compliance.
These rules are in place to ensure transparency for readers or viewers of web media regarding any sponsorship, endorsement, or partnership between the blogger or publisher and another company. Readers must understand if the content publisher is earning revenue by promoting links or products.
Under FTC guidelines, please assume the following regarding links and posts on www.blogstreamia.com:
Any/all of the links on www.blogstreamia.com may be affiliate links through which we receive a small compensation from sales of certain items.
What Are Affiliate Links? Purchases are made on external affiliate company websites: when a reader clicks on an affiliate link on www.blogstreamia.com to purchase an item, the reader buys directly from the seller (not from Blogstreamia).
Blogstreamia earns a small commission or other compensation from Amazon and/or other companies for directing customers to their websites.
Prices remain the same for readers regardless of whether they purchase through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. Clicking an affiliate link versus a non-affiliate link does not affect the price or any other aspect for the visitor.
Blogstreamia participates in two main types of affiliate programs
- Amazon affiliate links. www.blogstreamia.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for website owners to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites, as well as to other websites affiliated with the Amazon Service LLC Associates Program.
- Product affiliate links. Clicking a product affiliate link and purchasing the product will result in Blogstreamia receiving a percentage of the sale or another form of compensation.
Once again, prices remain unchanged if you use these affiliate links. Clicking through to the link will not result in increased costs. These links are not “pay per click.”
What about sponsored content? We do not publish sponsored posts. Our aim is to deliver authentic, unbiased information. However, if a company wishes to publish sponsored content on Blogstreamia, we will clearly disclose this at the beginning of the post. Ultimately, we only recommend products we personally use or would recommend to our family and friends.
